I’m Riccardo Pedrotti, a Master’s Student at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. My main interest is Low Dimensional Topology (specifically 4 manifolds) but I do love a lot of topics in Algebraic Topology. I’m currently working on the stable classification of certain families of four-manifolds (which, strangely enough, is the title of my master’s thesis) and I’m loving the amount of juggling one has to do with topological invariants and spectral sequences there. This is my first blogging experience, and I hope that you will find useful the stuff I will write here. I’ll do my best to publish as soon as possible new articles here, but since I want to offer quality works to you, it takes its time.
What do you will find here? Well, my plan is to transform this blog in a place where you can find complete proofs of results everyone gives for granted. I realised the importance of writing down certain reasonings in full details, once and for all, because this is what mathematics is: details, everything has to work perfectly. Intuition is of central importance but order is what nurture the mathematical mind. Actually, I’m pretty chaotic on my notes: blogging it’s the perfect excuse for tidying up my ideas.
Please, be very critic when reading my articles. I’m doing my best but you could find some errors here. In that case, I’d love to hear from you.
